Coronet Peak

It all started back in 1947 when Coronet Peak opened as New Zealand’s first commercial ski field, switching farmland for ski slopes when the snow hit the ground in winter. The mountain has been leading the way ever since; pioneering the first rope ski tow, implementing the largest snowmaking set up in the southern hemisphere.
